Hi there!
I know you're wondering what makes this blog any different from all the other GOD-glorifying blogs out there. To be honest, I don't know (probably because I haven't visited all of them) but what I do know is I am following the leading of Christ and I know that whatever has His divine signature on it will always come out in His own definition of "good". Yes, I believe GOD's definition and scale of good far outdoes ours.
Let me go right into the testimony for the day. A personal one.
I figured it is only right I start with a personal testimony cos if I expect you to show vulnerability by sharing what the LORD is doing in your life, then I should lead by example. One day, I woke up in the middle of the night to sense that there was a presence in my room. And as I tried to look around the room, I realized my body was in a state of numbness and I could not speak or move. I remember feeling very afraid. Since I couldn't speak, I kept on saying in my heart "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" then I felt a release and the presence was gone. I felt safe. The name of Jesus had come through. But then it happened again, again, again, and again. In fact I recall that one of the times it happened again, I heard the voice of the presence speak into my left ear, "you belong to us". And though I felt numb, I said in my heart, "No! I belong to Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." I remember also thinking, light and darkness do not mix. And as always, I felt a release and the presence was gone.
The words whispered in my ears bothered me enough that it got me thinking. So I said to the LORD in my room; it wasn't even a prayer. It was a conversation on my mind "Father, I'm a child of GOD. This shouldn't be happening to me. There must be a way of escape." And when I tell you it was a conversation, it was. Immediately I heard the LORD. HE reminded me of the bible reading about the Children of Israel in the land of Goshen, an outskirt of Egypt. The Children of Israel had been going through a lot, serving as slaves to the Egyptians and GOD had sent Moses to ask Pharaoh (king of Egypt) to release His people, the Children of Israel. He refused. So the LORD told Moses to tell the Pharaoh that if he didn't comply He would send certain plagues to Egypt. One of them was the death of all the first born sons in every household in Egypt. But in order to exempt the Children of Israel's household since they lived in Egypt, GOD commanded them to put the blood of a lamb on the door of their homes so when the angel of death came through to kill all the first born sons, wherever it saw the blood, it did not bring any harm to that household. In fact, it did not even go in (EXODUS 11-12).
The LORD asked me to get the anointing oil, and the Spirit of GOD in me quickened because somehow I just knew exactly what I had to do. I stood at the door of my room and began to declare, "This anointing oil represents the blood of Jesus. If the blood of a mere lamb worked for the Children of Israel, then the blood of Jesus which carries power and far outweighs that of a lamb will definitely work for me. I put up the blood of Jesus on my door and every contrary spirit, not of GOD, will not be able to come in anymore in Jesus name, amen." I remember believing the words I spoke and I remember feeling in my heart that it was done. I felt confidence and I felt joy. Since that day, I have not experienced it again and I never will. Why? Because GOD specializes in finished work.
If you've been experiencing what I just mentioned or maybe someone you know has been dealing with it, whip out your anointing oil in faith and it will work for you as it worked for me by GOD's grace. Or maybe you're going through something that's constantly or occasionally challenging you or waging a type of war with you, give it to GOD. (Accept Jesus as your LORD & Savior, ask Him to come into your life and do His transformational work in you.) Then ask Him to show you how to win once and for all over those things challenging you. HE will for He is faithful and He loves you.
